Find out where you can get high quality butcher's meat in lockdown

Our knowledge of the novel coronavirus is rapidly changing. The information contained within this article is correct at time of publishing. For the most current advice, please see your state government's health advice.

Even through the changing conditions, we're still supplying customers with the outstanding meat. We've upped our game on delivery services, and our online store is stronger than ever.

The reality is, businesses haven't been put through this much strain since the 1930s. People want information, and there are answers out there but many are incorrect. Google is not up-to-date with many details, so even if a business says it's open, it may not be.

We're here to provide clarity. We are open for business, and offering online deliveries. How are we doing this? Let's explain.

We are washing hands

It sounds obvious, but we are taking precautions to ensure every person is maintaining safe hand washing techniques as advised by the World Health Organisation. This includes:

  • Washing hands often
  • Using soap and water
  • Washing hands for as long as 'singing the happy birthday song' twice

Many of the stores where you can buy our products are still open

We have a range of stockists, many of which have been deemed 'essential'. You can find our high-grade butchers' meats at:

  • Foodworks East Ivanhoe
  • Foodworks Lorne
  • IGAs across Melbourne
  • And small groceries and fruit and vegetable stores

We are continuing to use stringent cleaning methods

At the end of every day, we clean the premises of our stores in Toorak, Malvern, and the CBD with a special chemical designed specifically for the meat industry. It contains Potassium Hydroxide and Sodium Hypochlorite.

We follow this with a no-rinse sanitiser containing quaternary ammonium compounds — which have been certified by the EPA as truly antibacterial.

We encourage EFTPOS payments wherever possible

To abide by social distancing rules, we encourage paying by card. Handling cash is one way the virus is spreading.

Limiting customers

We have a limit of 5 customers for all our stores, and this has been working well. Our customers have been supportive and understanding while we adapt to new methods of conducting business.

You cannot get COVID-19 through food

There is no evidence of food or food packaging being associated with the transmission of COVID-19. We work with leading free range producers in Victoria and NSW, who are as passionate as us about quality meat, ethical production, and flattening the curve.

We already use the most stringent food and safety handling measures, and Australia has regulations around food safety.

The biology of the virus is also in our favour. It can't survive for weeks at a time on surfaces. It lasts for anywhere from a few hours to a few days. Unlike bacteria, it cannot grow inside food.

I'm still concerned though

If you are concerned about contamination from food packaging, or the delivery process, you can always wash your hands after handling the packaging.

The reality is, people still need to eat

So why not eat high quality premium range meat? We sell things like:

And so much more. You can see our range online, or see them on display at one of our stores. If you'd like to become a stockist, get in touch! We partner with businesses who share our passion for high quality produce.

We are changing the way you can order online

We can deliver our produce to you, minimising the need for contact. If you'd like more information, or to confirm when an order can be filled or delivered, contact us. Phoning or emailing queries is the best way to get in touch with us. We're experiencing high demand during this time, so please bear with us while all adapt to the new ways in which businesses can conduct during quarantine.
