Diced Beef
Technically speaking, diced beef can be derived from any cut or muscle, the only requirement being that it is diced. In that sense, it's similar to beef mince. And, like beef mince, some supermarkets and butchers use the processed nature of the product to disguise lower quality produce. That doesn't happen at Peter Bouchier.
Our diced beef comes from high-quality grass-fed animals, with no expense spared in getting you a tremendous product. You even have your choice on the cut of meat.
- Beef chuck, diced: Beef chuck is a cut taken from around the neck area. It's high in fat and flavour and offers bang for your buck.
- Beef blade, diced: Differing slightly from the beef chuck cut, the beef blade comes from a leaner muscle. It is perfect for adding hearty flavour to dishes like stews and casseroles, and other slow-cooked meals. This process allows for the connective tissue and tough parts of the meat to break down adding delicious flavour and mouthfeel to the dishes.

First of all, thank you. We do get a lot of compliments on our beef but it's always nice to hear! The answer is simple if a little corny. Our beef tastes better because we care. We care about quality, so we only work with the best local producers. We care about taste so we select producers who are as passionate as we are about the final product — beef farmers who we trust to source ethical, grass-fed, premium-quality beef. And we care about you so we won't just dice up inferior quality beef just to palm it off pre-cut. Our diced beef is produced with the highest quality standards and sourced right here in Australia. I think you'll agree, that's the difference you can taste in every bite of our delicious diced beef.
Diced beef is cut to a more precise size for particular recipes or cooking methods.
Grass-Fed Beef Chuck Diced: Our diced chuck beef is cubed to be 2 inches thick. It's ideal for a 3-hour slow cook, and we sell it in increments of 500g.
Grass-Fed Beef Blade Diced: Our diced blade is also cubed to 2 inches thick. We recommend recipes with a 1.5-hour cook for this cut of beef. Also available in 500g portions.
