Looking to impress with fantastic beef burgers? Excellence starts with the best beef burger patties. But what makes a good beef burger patty?
The first step to cooking the perfect burger is to create the perfect burger patty. On that point, we’ve got you covered — we’ll even deliver them right to your front door.
We recommend cooking your burger patties on a well-oiled and piping hot grill or barbecue. The patties should sizzle the moment they touch the cooking surface. Close the barbecue lid or place a safe lid over your burgers.
Cook the burgers on high heat for 4 minutes on each side. We don’t want the patties to crumble, so avoid flipping the burgers repeatedly. Baste the patties with butter to keep them moist and add a touch more flavour.
As far as toppings go, we like to stick to the classics: cheese, lettuce, tomato and grilled onions. Serve it with a few lines of ketchup, mustard or mayonnaise, and you’re good to go.
There’s nothing worse than a soggy burger that falls apart as you pick it up.
The best way to keep your burgers firm and stable is to toast your burger buns first. Lightly drizzle them in oil and a bit of seasoning, then place them, face down, onto the hot grill alongside the burgers. They’ll stay toasty and crunchy long enough for you to enjoy your burger.
We primarily use beef chuck in our burger patties. Chuck has a wonderful balance of lean meat and fat, which gives the burgers their juicy texture and meaty flavour.
