Pastry only on top, so filling spills everywhere when trying to serve and miss out on the anticipated pastry on the bottom, more of a ,"pot" pie than a real pie. Also way too much sauce seems like it was thickened with gluggy flour ? and the onion taste from the stock was overpowering In the sauce. Probably won't order this again as it's also expensive for what you get.

This was my first time ordering from Peter Bouchier. On the recommendation of a client I tried a pre-made dish. For convenience this was absolutely unbeatable. I kept it in the fridge for a day and threw it in the oven for an unexpected dinner guest who is a working chef. We both thought it was delicious. Was a bit disappointed. It's not actually a pie - It's a pot pie with only a pastry lid and no pastry underneath. It's soupy rather than chunky and mostly chicken and herb with very little mushroom. The flavour was nice but it wasn't what I expected based on the description.
